It may surprise you to learn that you can go directly to your physical therapist when dealing with pain or an injury. It doesn’t matter if you’re dealing with an old or new problem. In all 50 states, you can schedule a visit with one of our therapists to get help sooner than later.

In the medical community, Direct Access is the ability to see a physical therapist when you want to without getting permission from your physician or medical practitioner.

Physical therapists routinely assess and treat patients without a physician’s recommendation. You can call 757-838-7453 directly at Peninsula Physical Therapy & Associates, Inc. in Hampton, VA, and we’ll schedule your appointment today! Direct Access eliminates wasting your time for the appointment to see a doctor, then the delays in getting a referral to physical therapy and waiting for an appointment to see the therapist.

PPTA staff is very best!

I started at Peninsula Physical Therapy (PPT) with a very high pain level and now two third of the way through my treatment, my pain level has been reduced by over ninety five percent. I would and have already recommended PPT to others.

FAQs

What is something important to know about physical therapy?
With physical therapy, it’s important to know that the overall goal is to restore pain-free mobility and function and to prevent the injury or pain from recurring. Our physical therapists evaluate your movement patterns, identify the cause of your pain, and work to manage or eliminate it altogether. Physical therapists are trained medical experts when it comes to musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. They work closely with physicians to make sure that your treatment plan is as efficient and effective as possible. Physical therapy is a non-invasive, hands-on approach to relieving pain and restoring function.  While every patient’s condition and pain are unique, our physical therapist will use a variety of gentle hands-on techniques, exercises, and equipment to relieve pain and restore your function to optimum levels.
How can I make an appointment?
Our scheduling is easy and we offer a convenient location and appointment times for you. We have morning and evening appointments available to meet the demands of your busy schedule. Call us today at (757) 838-7453 or click here to request an appointment.
Do you treat my condition at your clinic?

Our therapists are well trained to evaluate and treat your condition.

Our physical therapists have graduated from accredited physical therapy programs and are state-licensed. Depending on the university, the physical therapy program is either a master’s or doctorate level degree.

Physical therapists have years of university-level training in anatomy, physiology, kinesiology (the study of joint movement), neurology, and many of the other medical sciences. You’re in good hands!

Can I benefit from PT treatments?

Sure you can! Everyone can benefit from physical therapy. By working with you and your doctor, we can discuss your options and help determine if physical therapy will be the right choice for you. Call us today to discuss your current condition or request an appointment now.
